William C. Mumaw
Dies In Hospital

Ill for two years and a patient in Winchester Memorial Hospital for the past three weeks, William Clinton Mumaw, 39, died in the hospital early yesterday morning. He was a native of Stephens City.
A son of John William Mumaw, and the late Mrs. Ida Ewing Mumaw, of Frederick County the deceased was born Dec. 1, 1906. When he was 16 years old he went to Washington, D. C., where he resided until about two years ago when he returned to make his home with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harry White, of Boyce. At that time he was employed as a mechanic in the Navy Yard in Washington. He was unmarried.
In addition to his father, of near Stephens City, and his sister, of Boyce, he is survived by two other sisters, who are Mrs. O. D. Perry, of Winchester; and Mrs. Robert Shiley, of Frederick County and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral rites will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist Church in Stephens City by the Rev. Earl C. Day, pastor. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in that town.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
