William D. Smallwood
William Douglas "Bee" Smallwood Jr., 73, of Bluemont, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Smallwood was born Aug. 17, 1930, in Fauquier County, the son of William Douglas Smallwood Sr. and Mary Fanny Wright Smallwood.
He worked for 53 years as a self-employed stone mason.
He married Peggy Virginia Hausenfluck on May 19, 1973, in Berryville.
Surviving with his wife are seven daughters Brenda Williams of Berryville, Pam Smallwood of Winchester, Theresa S. Africano of Berryville, Joyce McDonald of White Post, Lisa Smallwood of Inwood, W. Va., Deborah Birdsong of Slanesville, W. Va., and Tammy Lovelace, Slanesville; two sons, James McGween Smallwood of Shepherdstown, W. Va., and William Douglas Smallwood III of Ashburn; four sisters, Gertrude Fewell of Bluemont, Violet "Boots" Rhoden, Jessie Wilson of Stephens City, and Margretta Stawinski of Baltimore; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A brother, James Amos Smallwood, is deceased.
A funeral will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, with Tim Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville.
Pallbearers will be Michael McDonald, Kevin McDonald, William Scott Smallwood, Jeffrey Truitt Smallwood, Keith Dunlap, Dana Johnston, and Wade Dunlap.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. today at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Berryville.

James A. Smallwood
James Amos Smallwood, 62, of Berryville, died Saturday in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Smallwood was born May 6, 1933, in Fauquier County, the son of William Douglas and Mary
Wright Smallwood. He was a laborer.
Surviving are a son, James M. Smallwood of Bluemont; a daughter, Deborah K. Smallwood of Winchester; a brother, William D. "Bee" Smallwood Jr. of Bluemont; four sisters, Gertrude Fewell of Bluemont, Violet "Boots" Rhoden of Berryville, Margaretta Stawinski of Baltimore, and Jessie Wilson of Stephens City; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Enders Funeral Home, Berryville, with Chaplain Bonnierkaren Mullen officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
