Was a Samuel Gaylor living in Augusta Co. VA tax years 1788, 1789 & 1790.

1753: Chalkley Vol II page 101 "Edward Gaylor deposes that in 1753 he lived with Frank McCown on the land in dispute" found death record Samuel McCown white, died 31 Dec 1853 in Lexington of Old Age, 93 years of age, parents unknown, born in Ireland, son in law reported S. Charleton.

c1760 he was married where..........?

1772 son John Gaylor born in Rockbridge Co. VA

1782-1787 tax list for Rockbridge only Gaylor listed,

1784 son Nathaniel Gaylor born in VA.
