John Henry came in 1741 to Pennsylvania. Possibly was a blacksmith near Cowpasture River, Botetourt Co. Va. in 1768. A few biographies of John Henry exist in The Rockbridge County, Va. Heritage book. Some have slightly different accounts of his early life. One gives his birth year as 1701, another account gives his parents as being Nicholas Ensminger, b.1699; & Margaret Phillippi, b.ca.1703;.
